Weather (July-August)
Rainy season — expect frequent afternoon showers. Temperatures between 24-32 C (75-90 F). High humidity. Bring light rain gear, umbrella and comfortable walking shoes.

Abuja (FCT)
Nigeria's purpose-built capital city in the Federal Capital Territory. Key landmarks include Aso Rock (presidential villa), National Mosque, National Ecumenical Centre. Commercial areas: Wuse Market (largest open market), Jabi (modern shopping & dining), Garki, Maitama.

Zuma Rock
A massive 725-meter monolith on the Abuja-Kaduna highway near Suleja. Known as the "Gateway to Abuja" — featured on the 100 Naira banknote. A symbol of Nigeria's cultural heritage.

Suleja
A major town in Niger State, approximately 45 minutes from central Abuja. Home to Zuma Rock Resort and a vibrant local market. Gateway between FCT and Niger State.

Minna
Capital city of Niger State, approximately 2.5 hours from Suleja by road. Seat of the state government — Government House, ministries and key institutions are located here.
Distances
Abuja Airport to Zuma Rock Resort: ~1 hour. Abuja center to Suleja: ~45 minutes. Suleja to Minna: ~2.5 hours. All transfers included in the package.

Travel Health Advisory
Yellow Fever
Yellow fever vaccination certificate is MANDATORY for entry into Nigeria. Get vaccinated at least 10 days before departure.
Malaria Prevention
Nigeria is a high malaria-risk zone. Use mosquito repellent, sleep under nets, wear long sleeves in evenings. Consider prophylaxis — consult your doctor.
Routine Vaccines
Ensure Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Typhoid, Tetanus and Polio vaccines are up to date. Consult a travel health clinic before departure.
Food & Water Safety
Drink only bottled or purified water. Avoid ice from unknown sources. Eat well-cooked foods. The hotels on the program serve safe, quality meals.
Mosquito Protection
Bring DEET-based repellent. Wear light-colored, long clothing in evenings. Your rooms will have mosquito nets or air conditioning.
Medications
Bring personal prescription medications. A basic travel medical kit is recommended: painkillers, anti-diarrhea, rehydration salts, first-aid basics.
